Hancock Law Firm is a St. Petersburg, Florida law firm that focuses on Adoption & Family Law.

We are looking for a skilled professional. This is not a training position. Applicants must have significant experience in family law as a paralegal and have knowledge of local procedures. Adoption experience is preferred, but, as we are aware that Adoption focused law firms are less prevalent in the area, we will train our new paralegal in adoption.

The successful candidate will have a well-rounded knowledge of all duties required in a family law practice. You must be reliable and be able to independently ensure the completion of mandatory disclosure, routine case flow, file preparation and organization, organizing and preparing trial exhibits. You will not be responsible for managing the calendar, but you must monitor task assignments and the calendar for upcoming needs. Our firm is busy, so applicants must be ready to jump in.

We are a small and close- knit group. Our office is both casual and professional. You will be working with a legal assistant and an attorney.

We are an organized firm with detailed policies and procedures and a code of ethics to guide you. We use Clio for case management and google calendar to manage our schedule.

We are open to filling this position with a full time employee, two part time employees, an in office employee, a remote 1099 contract paralegal, or a hybrid remote/in office employee or 1099 contract paralegal. Depending on the preference of the successful candidate, we will discuss hiring as an employee or independent contract position.
